SHIRLEY ANN LEE -“THERE’S A LIGHT”
While visiting the Toledo, Ohio congregation of the Church of the Living God in the late 1950s, Revival Records owner Felton Williams was introduced to Shirley Ann Lee. A member of the Jewell Singers, Shirley was something of a gospel prodigy, touring church assemblies across the nation, recording for the Nashboro label, and attending an exclusive parochial school in Nashville. Mutually impressed by each other, these two phenoms of gospel music formed a friendship that would flourish as a creative partnership a decade later.
